Kane Brown Notches Another Exciting Career Achievement

The career achievements just keep rolling in for Kane Brown.

This week, the country superstar nabbed the most-added song at country radio when his brand new single, “Bury Me In Georgia,” officially hit the airwaves.

According to a graphic shared by Brown, the song received 85 first-week adds.

“Thank you country radio,” he wrote alongside the news.

“Bury Me In Georgia” was co-written by Brown alongside Josh Hoge, Matt McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt.

The song appears on his latest album, , and serves as a musical tribute to his home state.

“‘Bury Me In Georgia’ just a song, you know, about the home state that I grew up in,” Brown says. “That’s where I want to go whenever it’s my time. Especially the Georgia Bulldogs, they on top of it right now about three-peat so anyway, no, Georgia is just, you know, it’s always gonna place in my heart.”

The song is the follow-up to Brown’s latest No.1 hit, “Thank God,” which features his wife, Katelyn Brown. It’s quite the juxtaposition from the romantic duet and showcases a different side of Brown’s artistry.

“Bury me in Georgia/ Lemme rest in peace/ Underneath the pines/ Yeah, yeah, yeah/ Where my roots run deep/ When it’s my day/ Put me in that clay/ And remember what I told ya/ When I die/ Bury me in Georgia,” he sings alongside a boot-stomping, rock-heavy beat.

Arriving just in time for Spring and Summer, this track is destined to be another radio hit for Brown.

Monumental Week

The release of “Bury Me In Georgia” comes after a monumental few days for the country hitmaker. On Friday, he , and on Sunday, he co-hosted the 2023 CMT Music Awards alongside Kelsea Ballerini.

“Thank God” Performance

Later in the show, the lovebirds took home the top honor of the night: . They were awarded the coveted belt buckle in honor of their “Thank God” music video, which was directed by Brown’s longtime collaborator, Alex Alvga.

“Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I am, first off I’m so nervous. This is all so new to me and when we recorded this song a year ago, I never in my life would ever think that this was ever gonna happen,” Katelyn shared from the stage during their acceptance speech. “But I just wanna say thank you so much to my amazing husband, I love you. This is so special that we get to share this together every night. I love you so much.”

Kane added, “I just wanna say thank you to the fans that voted. I wanna say thank you to Sony, my awesome manager, Martha. This is Alex beside me, he moved here from Barcelona. He wanted to be a video director, he’s done like all my music videos. He is making the American Dream come true…Thank you, CMT.”
