Musicians Bono, Pharrell Williams, and Halsey have joined the voice cast of the upcoming sequel to Sing. They will star alongside returning cast members such as Matthew McConaughey and Scarlett Johansson. The film will see Bono make his voice acting debut, playing a reclusive lion and rock star. Williams will reteam with Illumination after penning the hit song "Happy" for Despicable Me 2. Sing 2 is set to be released on December 22, 2021, after the release date was pushed back from Christmas of this year.
