At the end of her speech Kelly excitedly said: 'I'm gonna go have ice cream with my baby girl,' as River cheered: 'Go Mom!' from the audience.

During her acceptance speech Tuesday night Kelly noted: 'And Remy, I know you're at home, you're not feeling well, we love you, baby!'
She also offered her gratitude to Niecy Nash, who helped present her with the award 'for hosting my show the other day while I was sick.'
Kelly added: 'But this is really cool to get because this is where the people vote. And I feel like for the last 20 years, well, that's my whole career has been people literally voting me in or getting something.'

The Since U Been Gone hitmaker effervesced: 'So whether it's singing or a talk show or whatever I'm doing, and so I really appreciate it.'
Kelly added that 'it does take a huge team to make everything happen, and NBC thank you so much. You've been like incredible. My whole team at The Kelly Clarkson Show thank you so much for supporting us. We love our show! Thank you so much! I'm gonna go have ice cream with my baby girl.'
